What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

In Canada, practitioners of naturopathic medicine are skilled primary-care physicians who are trained at
accredited medical colleges in a four-year full time program.

Naturopathic doctors have extensive academic and clinical training with respect to the therapeutic use,
contra-indications, possible adverse reactions and toxicities of natural remedies.

In Ontario, naturopathic doctors are licensed and regulated by the Board of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy.
